VoltShield was founded in 2003 by a team of electrical engineers with backgrounds in switchgear design and IEC standards committees. From the outset, our founding principle was straightforward: every circuit breaker must perform exactly to its published specification — not approximately, not under ideal conditions, but consistently across the full rated operating range.
Over two decades, we have grown from a specialist MCB manufacturer serving regional distributors to a full-range circuit protection supplier with 420+ employees, an in-house IEC testing laboratory, and a distribution network spanning 52 countries. Our customers are EPC contractors, switchboard manufacturers, industrial OEMs and systems integrators who specify on technical merit — and we have built our business to meet that standard.
In 2019 we completed construction of a dedicated type-testing high-power laboratory, capable of generating short-circuit currents up to 100kA at 400V — allowing us to conduct breaking capacity development tests in-house before submitting to accredited third-party bodies for certification.
